SUBCOMMITTEES
The Superior Community Working Group (CWG) has established several subcommittees to address specific concerns related to the Resolution Copper Mining Project. These include the Recreation User Group, which focuses on preserving and enhancing popular recreation areas that may be impacted by mining activities, and the Water Subcommittee, which employs an independent consultant to monitor water quality and quantity in the area.
The Copper Triangle Cultural Heritage and Community Development Subcommittee is working to create cultural heritage and community development programs required as part of the mitigation measures outlined in the U.S. Forest Service’s Final Environmental Impact Statement (FEIS). Similarly, the Castleberry Campground Development Subcommittee is planning and developing a new campground to replace Oak Flat Campground, which will eventually be affected by the project, as defined in the FEIS.
