Welcome

The Superior Community Working Group (CWG) , founded in 2013, is a community-run, volunteer organization that was established to keep citizens informed about the proposed Resolution Copper Mining Project, discuss issues and concerns about its development, and economic, social, and environmental impacts on the region.

The mine is located in Arizona’s historic copper corridor near the town of Superior and could become one of the world’s largest copper mining ventures.

To ensure ongoing transparency and communication between the mine and the community and to find ways of resolving issues of concern, Resolution funds the facilitation and any relevant expenses incurred by the CWG.
