The RUG discussed coordination of proposed recreation plans with Tonto National Forest representatives. They agreed to review any potential conflicts among the proposals before the next meeting, which is scheduled for April 13, 2016.

Tony Coggan of Truescape discussed visual simulation techniques, showed the CWG several examples and preliminary simulations of the Resolution Copper tailings site, and asked the group for advice on other specific viewpoints from which to prepare additional tailings simulations. The CWG Recreation & Access Task Force was merged with the new Recreation User Group at this meeting. The group discussed the status of their various plans with Tonto National Forest representatives Paul Burghard and Frederick Phillips.

Resolution invited staff from Arcadis, their structural engineering consultant, to provide the group with detailed information about the condition of the smelter stack and associated buildings, highlighting costs and approaches for demolition or reconstruction.
