Doug Dunham of the Arizona Department of Water Resources helped the CWG understand the states’ water resources supply, management programs, and regulations.  

Meeting #12 November 14, 2013

Nancy Wrona of the Arizona Department of Environmental Quality and Don Gabrielson of Pinal County discussed water and air quality issues and regulations related to the Resolution Copper Project.  

Meeting #11 November 4, 2013

Vicky Peacey of Resolution provided the CWG with an overview of the proposed Resolution Copper Project Mine Plan of Operations.

Meeting #9 October 7, 2013

At this meeting Vicky Peacey described Resolution Copper Project water needs, sources, use, reuse, and regulatory issues.  

Meeting #8 September 26, 2013

An update on the status of Congressional Land Exchange deliberations was provided by Andrew Taplin, Resolution Copper Project Manager, and Ron Ober of Policy Development Group discussed the history of the land exchange issue.  

Meeting #7 September 12, 2013

Resolution staff provided a briefing on elements of the proposed Mine Plan of Operations, its relationship to public lands, and how the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) would apply to the project.  

Meeting #6 August 29, 2013

This meeting included a presentation on different mining methods including block cave. The CWG also reviewed comments on the tailings facility heard at an August 14 Community Forum.

Meeting #5 August 13, 2013

The CWG evaluated a number of alternative tailings facility sites according to the criteria they had developed, and provided recommendations to Resolution.  

Meeting #4 July 31, 2013

The CWG discussed tailings facility issues identified by members, by the community, and by Resolution, and developed siting criteria based on these.
